Chilean Films Perform Well at International Festivals

A number of Chilean films have had a great reception at several international film festivals, including Sundance, the Guadalajara International Film Festival and the Miami Film Festival. Check out the trailers below of some of the movies that recieved prizes.

Violeta Se Fue a los Cielos

This film by Andrés Wood won best international picture at Sundance, and the Fibrensci Prize and Best Actress at Guadalajara. It is currently playing at the Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda.

El Bonsái

This film, which mostly takes place in the southern city of Valdivia, won Best Latin American film and Best Screenplay at Miami.

¡Vivan las Antipodas!

This documentary won Best Latin American Documentary at Guadalajara.

El Salvavidas

This documentary got a special mention in the category of Latin American Feature Film Documentary at Guadalajara.
